Information You Submit
A name, phone number, or address entered into a search form is sent to the third-party provider that supplies that result service. Our servers do not retain a copy of those search entries. If you contact us, we receive the contents of your message and use them to respond.
Automatic Technical Data
Our host records routine technical logs, such as IP address, browser type, page requests, and timestamps. We use aggregate information to maintain the service and understand general readership. Cookies or similar tools may also support basic analytics or advertising measurement where used.
How Information Is Used
The limited information described above helps operate, troubleshoot, measure, and improve the service. We do not sell visitor lists or create individual visitor profiles.
External Services and Links
Yarmouth records pages link to town, county, and state portals, archives, library collections, and third-party search tools. Each outside provider controls its own privacy practices. That includes the sponsored search results, which are supplied by another company.
Service Providers and Disclosure
Hosting and support providers process the routine logs needed to run the service. Analytics or advertising partners may receive the automatic data described above. We disclose information only when valid legal process requires disclosure.
Safeguards and Retention
The service uses an encrypted connection, and routine logs are retained only for the purposes described here. There are no visitor accounts, passwords, or personal profiles maintained by Yarmouth Residents Directory.
Visitors Under 18
The service is intended for adults and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from a person under 18. Contact us if you believe a minor submitted information, and we will remove it.
Your Privacy Choices
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, or delete personal information a service keeps. The official research did not identify a Massachusetts comprehensive consumer-privacy statute that creates a universal deletion mechanism. Because we keep very little, a request normally involves checking the contact mailbox and routine logs, then removing applicable material. Use the Contact page to ask. Massachusetts public records held by a town, county, or state custodian are outside our control; requests about them belong with the holding office under the applicable record rules, including Massachusetts Public Records Law, G.L. c.66.
Policy Revisions
We will post an updated policy here when the terms change. Continued use after publication of a revision means acceptance of the updated policy.
